The Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) is among India's best institutions for theoretical physics, computer science, and mathematics — ideal if you love abstract, mathematical thinking.
Both programs share a common entrance exam — you choose your specialization after admission.

CMI alumni have pursued further studies at Berkeley, Caltech, MIT, Princeton, and Stanford abroad, and IITs, IISc, ISI, and TIFR in India — many are now faculty at leading institutions.
